I’m Tired

And not from last nights activities.

I’m tired of the pettiness that exists within the environmental movement. Special interest groups of dubious origin pop up with enough research and appeals to emotion to derail useful and beneficial changes.

Take Coal Country West Virginia. Several sites have been identified for wind farms in West Virginia. And groups have started to block them citing landscape and picturesque reasons. They don’t like how it looks.

Sorry you don’t like how it looks, but blown apart mountains, filled in valleys, and poisoned water supplies look great too.

I’m tired of dealing with this. Solar power is blocked because it affects the desert environment, wind power affects the view and kills birds (how many die because of pollution every year? That’s right, no one has done that study!), nuclear is the Anti-Christ, so we’re stuck doing the same thing we’ve always done.
